This past fall, I was thrilled to see one of my images featured as a full-page spread in Tahoe Quarterly magazine! It was such an exciting moment for me as a photographer and a reminder of why I love capturing the beauty of the natural world.

The photo accompanied an article titled "Gnarly Wood," which was a perfect match for the shot I captured a couple of summers ago at Lake Aloha. The image showcases the unique, rugged beauty of the trees that make hiking in the western landscapes so magical.

I’ve always been drawn to the character of trees out west—each one seems to tell a story, shaped by the wind, snow, and sun over the years. Whether I’m on a trail or simply exploring new spots, my camera is always ready to capture their intricate details.

Seeing my passion for the outdoors translated into a published piece was truly an unforgettable moment. If you get a chance to pick up Tahoe Quarterly, check out the article—it’s a celebration of the beauty and resilience of these incredible trees!

Tahoe Quarterly magazine captures the full range of culture and lifestyle in and around the Lake Tahoe Basin.
