What to Wear: Choosing the Perfect Outfit!
Your outfit will make a huge difference to your photos so choose something that suits your personality and your brand. Make sure your clothes suit your body type and fit well. Simpler is better but don’t be afraid to add a pop of color or a bold accessory to add some personality and flair. Keep your skin tone and hair in mind when choosing an outfit as contrasting colors make for some of the best photos. Want to see what you might look like in photos in a certain outfit or hairstyle? Take a few selfies to decide what works and what doesn’t.

Tips for ALL
#1 Tip: There are a lot of things we can fix in post, but hungover isn’t one of them. Do yourself a favor and do not drink the night before a photo session.
Do you wear glasses? Bring a pair of non-transitional glasses so you aren’t wearing sunglasses. Additionally, consider that “non-glare” glasses, well….will glare in photos. If possible, bring a pair of glass frames without lenses. Or consider not wearing them if you don’t always wear them.
Avoid ALL white, especially if you are being photographed on a white background
Avoid ALL black, which easily shows stray hair and specs
Remove sports watches
Tips for Women
Avoid baggy clothing such as turtle neck shirts or ponchos. Clothing that’s too big adds weight so opt for something that’s slightly smaller to avoid the sloppy look.
Don’t wear intense colors or busy prints
For jewelry, everybody says “classic & simple” but I say GO FOR IT! Wear a bold piece or a contrasting color!
Opt for a hairstyle that adds body & volume to your hair. Don’t wear your hair in a ponytail
Choose the right undergarments
Wear MORE make-up than you usually wear on a daily basis. No…the chapstick won’t do :)
Avoid ‘bronzer’ which can make your face shiny
Avoid sleeveless blouses or dresses
Tips for Men
Do not get a haircut right before the session
If you are wearing a suit, it should be tailored
Wear a fitted shirt. Clothing that’s too big adds weight so opt for something that’s slightly smaller to avoid the sloppy look.
Ensure that your undershirt is not visible
Remove phones from pockets.
