Arrow Exterminator's Awards Gala With Meaning | Corporate Meeting Photographer, Kelli Price
I connected with Arrow Exterminators’ Chief Development Officer, Kevin Burns at a Retreat Resources Showcase a few years ago when I was offering complimentary headshots. Arrow Exterminators, a family owned business, is headquartered in my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing 2-3 events a year since 2019 (except for you know when…looking at you 2020). And I have to say, I kinda feel like I’m part of the Arrow family too. People now recognize me, say “Good to see you again” and I’m even social media friends with a handful of the employees. Shoot, I even have photos WITH the attendees!
As a corporate event photographer, I have photographed a LOT of award nights and it’s always fun to capture the attendees being recognized for their hard work. One of the things I appreciate about Arrow’s awards ceremony is their awards have meaning. Even though they have the most efficient awards system I’ve seen this side of the Mississippi, they take the time to put together video messages from their Regional Managers congratulating the winners on their recognition so the audience can hear WHY & be inspired. Most of their awards are also in memory/honor of a past Arrow employee or founder. Their marketing team creates a touching montage of what the award represents and what the employee meant to Arrow, including photos with co-workers AND their family. You can see so much love and respect in the videos.
At the most recent Gala in Atlanta I watched 2 Arrow memorial awards in honor of employees that I have met, laughed with, met their families and photographed over the past few years. It made me teary but also honored to have captured a few of the happy moments that were included in the videos. So, this is why I feel #ArrowStrong.
Please adopt me Arrow Exterminators.
After the Awards Gala, we headed over to the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame. While I’m not a huge fan of college football (shhhh don’t tell my Southern friends) this venue was super cool to have a group dinner, learn the history of college football and experience the interactive running & jumping experiences (great for photo ops)!
