Fall Mini Session Pups | Family Photography in Truckee/Reno and Atlanta Metro Area

WOW! Thank you to the 65+ families in Atlanta, Hanford, Reno and Truckee that signed up for Fall Mini Sessions. With my focus typically on event photography I usually only photograph 20 families ....so this was a welcomed change after a very slow 2020! Again, thank you for trusting me with your pandemic family session (& hopefully the last).

With the increase in families, I also saw an increase in photographing the “favorite member of the family”…..the family dog! Trying to get the kids AND dogs to look at the camera takes a special skill as a lifestyle photographer. Sometimes the skill works and other times there is just too much nature around. What is the skill you ask?? Well, let’s just say I don’t think I’ve said “MEOW” so much in my life.

We had fluffy, big, small, hair “did” and a couple special outfits for their portraits! We even had a lost toy that was found by another family dog later in the day and safely returned to it original owner (Smoki….in case you were wondering). Some other names from what I remember were Roxie, Olive, Jimmie, Riggins & June, Coco, and Janis (yes, as in Joplin).

Personally, I’m a cat person…..so I challenge somebody to bring the kitty to their next family session!!
